Faculty Extended Day go to Marbles and IMAX

During conference day January 28th, our PreK- 4th grade Faculty Extended day students got to enjoy a morning filled with discovery and exploration at Marbles Museum downtown Raleigh.
While the younger students were in Marbles, our 5th and Middle School Faculty students enjoyed the films, “Mysteries of the Unseen World” and part of “Humpback Whales” in the Imax theatre.

Please enjoy these photos.

Lemur field trip with Faculty After school kids

What an unforgettable trip to the Lemur Center in Durham yesterday. After our exciting bus journey getting to the Center, our Faculty Students and teachers enjoyed a video on the history and special care of these amazing creatures, along with a tour given by one of the many scientists that work at this facility. After watching in astonishment how these captivating, fun-loving animals cohabitate and exist daily at this site, I couldn’t help but reflect on how this visit affected our students. I can’t wait to hear more from them on their own experiences from yesterday.

Faculty Extended Day visits Marbles

“Awesome”, “Do we have to leave?”, “This is so cool”, “Wow”; were some of the quotes I heard from your children yesterday while we visited Marbles Museum in downtown Raleigh. It’s pretty profound when you find one place that can provide activities to engage, excite our youngest PreK students all the way up to our Middle School aged students.

These photos truly say it all.
Enjoy your day.
