On November 21st, 2016, three days before Thanksgiving, our youngest Ravens alongside their teachers,(Mrs. Peggy Bass and Mrs. Kyundan Choi),spent time preparing for Thanksgiving.
Using a Native American tradition, the students and teachers sat down in a circle and each had a turn to hold and use the “talking stick”. During their turn holding this Native American tool, each student was honored with silence while they had the opportunity to speak about what were grateful for.
Enjoy these moments caught on camera.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
This trip to Buffalo Lanes is always a hit with students. These Ravenscroft Faculty Extended Day students got time to connect with friends and teachers. Claps, cheers and pats on the back were shared during moments of celebration.
Best to you and Happy Fall.
Our first Faculty Care Day of the school year was spent at Ganyard Farm, in Cary NC. Our second day, we stayed on campus to enjoy crafts, special snacks, fall movies and time outdoors. Both days were beautiful and joy-filled.
Enjoy, Amy Pendergrass
During the months of September and October, our PreK and Kindergarten Extended Day students have enjoyed many crafts, time for friendships to be fostered and much more. This past month, they have learned about different animals on the farm and also had the opportunities to explore through dramatic play and many crafts.
Please enjoy some snapshots of the center, your child’s art and hopefully your child.
On October 14th, our 5th and MS Extended day students took a much anticipated trip to Jubala Village Cafe. They enjoyed chocolate milkshakes, Belgian waffles and time afterwards playing a variety of outdoor games.

Extended Day 1st and 2nd grade work through play on a beautiful May afternoon. Some students gain more confidence singing and dancing in front of their peers. Other students work together during an exciting game of soccer.
All of these students care for each other and show true joy in their special school relationships.
