PreK and Kindergarten – I Am A Promise

am a promise, I am a possibility
am a promise with a capital “P”
I can be anything, anything God wants me to be.
am a promise, I am a possibility
am a promise, with a capital “P”
am a great big bundle of potentiality
And I will listen, to hear God’s voice
And I am trying, to make the right choice
I’m a promise to be anything God wants me to be
I can go anywhere that He wants me to go
I can be anything that He wants me to be
I can climb the high mountain I can cross the wide sea
I’m a great bit promise you see
am a promise, I am a possibility
am a promise, with a capital “P”
am a great big bundle of potentiality
And I will listen, to hear God’s voice
And I am trying, to make the right choice
I’m a promise to be anything God wants me to be
I’m a promise to be anything God wants me to be

1st and 2nd Grade – Just A Single Voice

It starts with just a single voice, one you barely hear.

It reaches out to touch your heart; the sound is growing near.

And yet with just a single voice, the message can be strong.

For when we hear a single voice, won’t others join along?

The power of music, the power of song.

When voices come together, the message can be strong.

Our visions of tomorrow, reflections of the past,

The memories and feelings, and friendships that last.

It starts with just a simple song, that lingers in the air,

A melody that fills your soul, with feelings that we share.

And yet, with just a simple song, the message can be heard.

For when we hear a simple song, our heart feels every word.

The power of music, the power of song.

When voices come together, the message can be strong.

Our visions of tomorrow, reflections of the past,

The memories and feelings, and friendships that last.

It starts with just a single voice; won’t you sing along?

3rd Grade – Give Me Wings

Give me wings, and I’ll soar like an eagle.

Bear me up, til I float in the blue;

Give me mountains to climb, give me poems to rhyme,

Give me dreams, and I’ll make them come true.

Give me hope, and I’ll build a tomorrow:

Build it strong, and as big as the sky,

With a place there for everyone;

We can build it, you and I.

Give me wings, and I’ll soar like an eagle,

Give me dreams, and I’ll make them come true;

If I stand on your shoulders I can see a whole world made new.

Give me Friends I can take on my journey,

Who’ll be there for the times when I fall;

For the thoughts that I share, give me people who care;

Give me love, or I’m nothing at all.

Give me faith to imagine a future

Where the earth and its peoples are one.

Being different together,

Like a rainbow in the sun.

Give me wings, and I’ll soar like an eagle,

Give me dreams, and I’ll make them come true;

If I stand on your shoulders I can see a whole world made new.

Give me wings, and I’ll soar like an eagle,

Give me dreams, and I’ll make them come true;

Hold me high on your shoulders,

Touch the sky on your shoulders,

And I’ll build a new world with you:
We can change the old world to new.

Getting Ready for Veteran’s Day! 2015

Hello Parents!  It’s that time to prepare our students for Veteran’s Day.  Each grade will be singing a different song for each branch to honor our Veterans.  In this blog post you will find the lyrics and song with just the piano accompaniment and the piano with vocals.  Please help your child learn this music as they proudly sing to honor our Veterans for Veteran’s day!

PreK/Kindergarten –

You’re a grand old flag,
You’re a high flying flag
And forever in peace may you wave.
You’re the emblem of
The land I love.
The home of the free and the brave.
Ev’ry heart beats true
under the Red, White and Blue,
Where there’s never a boast or brag.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
Keep your eye on the grand old flag.

First Grade –

Off we go into the wild blue yonder,
Climbing high into the sun;
Here they come zooming to meet our thunder,
At ’em boys, Give ‘er the gun! (Give ‘er the gun now!)
Down we dive, spouting our flame from under,
Off on one terrible course!
We live in fame or go down in flame. Hey!
Nothing’ll stop the U.S. Air Force!

2nd Grade –

Over hill
Over dale
We will hit the dusty trail
And those caissons go rolling along
In and out
Hear them shout
Countermarch
And right about
And those caissons go rolling along
Then it’s Hi! Hi! Hee!
In the field artillery
Sound off your numbers
Loud and strong
For where’er you go
You will always know
That the caissons are rolling along

3rd Grade –

From the Halls of Montezuma
To the Shores of Tripoli;
We will fight our country’s battles
In the air, on land and sea;
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean;
We are proud to claim the title
of United States Marines.

To Those Who Serve Lyrics

My country ‘tis of thee,

Sweet land of liberty,

to thee we sing, to thee we sing!

To those who serve,

who serve the free,

those who stand proud and tall and serve us all unselfishly.

With heart and soul they’ve answered freedom’s call.

To those who serve, who serve us all.

From this great land

our heroes hail,

putting their hopes and dreams on hold so freedom can prevail.

They come from north from south, from east, and west.

They are the bravest and the best!

How can we ever thank them?

Mere words would never do.

All those who serve and help preserve

our grand red, white, and blue!

To those who serve,

put fear aside,

upholding all that we hold near and dear,

they’ve lived and died.

They taught us all what truth and strength should be.

To those who serve courageously.

How can we ever thanks ?

Mere words would never do.

Our heroes brave who serve to save

our grand red, white, and blue…red, white, and blue.

To those who serve,

who serve the free,

those who stand proud and tall and serve us all unselfishly.

With heart and soul they’ve answered freedom’s call.

To those who serve, to those who serve, to those who serve, who serve us all!

To those who serve, to those who serve, to thee we sing!
