L repel 2

PK students have had a fun time in science lab, attracting and repelling themselves around the room with their donut magnets in hand.  Hopefully they showed you about magnetic attraction, repulsion, and levitation! Magnetic Marble Hex.

This week we are using my magnetic marbles.  They are bi-colored for North and South poles.  When you stick a bunch of them together, they alternate in color.  Interesting geometric shapes and patterns can be created.

One inch ceramic ring magnets, including larger quantities, are available at:

colorful ones available here

Unfortunately, my source no longer sells the two-toned magnetic marbles. Single colored ones are widely available.

***Due to their size, these magnetic marbles should only be used under parental supervision.***
