Teachers Make a Difference. Teachers Matter.
“BZZZZZZZZZZZZ” That’s the sound of my alarm going off at 5:00 a.m.
And I love it.
Why?! What could possibly be so wonderful at 5:00 a.m. in the morning?
Every Thursday morning, at 5:30 a.m., I take a cycling class. It is by far the most enjoyable AND challenging workout of the week.
Why do I love it?
Teachers make a difference. The teacher matters.
This particular fitness instructor fits my learning and work style preferences and needs. Everything from his music selections, tone of voice, and no nonsense, get right down to business approach, are exactly what inspires me to work to my fullest potential at 5:30 in the morning and make me stronger and more fit as a result.
We have a connection. The connection matters. The connection makes a difference.
Each day we ask our students to get out of bed, go to school, work hard, take risks, and learn new things–essentially, get better and stronger each day.
At Ravenscroft, we have a faculty full of teachers that make it a priority to know their students as unique individuals, care deeply about them, and give them choice and control in their learning environment. They know that relationships matter, and they know the connections they form with their students make a difference.
As we take time to celebrate our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week, I am reminded of how blessed we are. I am grateful that our children have teachers at Ravenscroft that make going to school each day an enjoyable journey — because they inspire, encourage, and care deeply for our children.
Our teachers make a difference.
